More Than Music. A Practice That Opens the Heart
Kirtan isn’t something you have to understand first.
It’s something you feel—through repetition, rhythm, and shared presence.
New to Kirtan?
You’re Welcome Here.
You don’t need any background in chanting, yoga, or spirituality.
You don’t need to sing loudly.
You don’t need to understand everything.
You can simply come, sit down, and take it in.
Some people come for the devotional aspect.
Some come for peace, grounding, or curiosity.
However you arrive, there is space for you here.
I didn’t come to spiritual practice because I had answers.
I came because I didn’t know how to live very well inside myself.
Chanting, writing, and sitting with things have become ways I stay close to what’s real. Not ways to fix myself or transcend anything — just ways of paying attention. Some days it feels steady. Other days it falls apart. Both seem to be part of it.
Most of what I work with comes through translation, tradition, and other people’s careful efforts to point toward something meaningful. I hold that with respect, but also with humility. I’m not trying to arrive anywhere. I’m learning as I go, and this is me practicing out loud.
